Exposed Aggregate flooring the name given to concrete
where the top layer is removed and the inside layer is
exposed to reveal the aggregate, the rock and stone
pieces.
This is durable like concrete and
decorative like terrazzo.
It is usually non-slip, but porous.
EXPOSED AGGREGATE FLOORING

There are a number of ways that
your floor can be cared for.
A good sweeping followed if necessary by a microfiber pad for
daily general cleaning.
Sometimes just water and a mop will give it back it's luster.
Dried grime and grease will remove with a mild detergent. It is
also possible that a stronger detergent or chemical will be
needed for more stubborn dirt.
High pressure water cleaning with our truck mounted system will
ensure that the most difficult stains are cleaned and lifted.
At the times when dirt has found it's way beyond the surface and
normal cleaning methods will not work, the concrete could use an
acid etching. We would not recommend that this be done by
someone not trained for this job. Muriatic acid is dangerous and
can be harmful to people, plants, and animals. Proper procedure
and care is essential.
Diamond Grinding is used to remove problems before a finish
is applied, but is also a major factor in how much of a shine and
smoothness will be considered it's character.
